Hello everyone,
Stay well clear. Once again Relic or THQ provide a buggy game with some serious memory issues. The game gets to the 3rd mission and crashes with a 183 error and looking at the forums it is a common fault. The recommendation is to drop your graphics settings to low (to get passed the missions that are bugged) and turn of AA. This is not a fix ... this is a work around. They did release a patch recently that was supposed to fix it. But again looking around the forums it would appear it didnt fix it at all.
All in all the game play looks excellent and the 2 levels I have been able to play look beautiful. But if you unfortunate enough to get 183 errors on your system you will find limited to no support out there from either Relic or THQ and will have to waste a considerable ammount of your time trying to fix or workaround a problem that they know about but simply have not fixed.

It is a great game, with all the good parts from the first Dawn of War 2; if you liked the first one, then you will definitely like this game. The game play is too short though. Not sure if I like the whole corruption idea, as it means that you have to have weaker armour and weapons to avoid falling to Chaos; however, it does not really diminish the game play. I am now replaying the game with the aim of getting corrupted. It is a shame that you cannot play the story mode as Chaos Marines.
On the plus side, you get to play as Chaos Marines and Tyranids in the multiplayer and online games, which is quite cool.
Overall, well worth the money but has the potential to be so much better.

Finally they added the chaos space marines with such a good story as well. There is a lot of content on top of the single player with obviously the additional faction of Chaos marines and the much fun "Last stand". Can be a bit difficult when playing the campaign missions but it wouldn't be fun if it was too easy. Highly recommended for any fan of the Warhammer 40K or Dawn of War franchise.

The expansion is fun, if a bit short and on my system at least, it had a lot of bugs. Glad I waited for the price to drop.

The game holds a rather short campaign, which is fully co-opable. I bought the game with a friend, in the intention to co-op through it. I would give this a 4/5, but end up giving 3/5 because we crashed regularly to the desktop. Sometimes both of us. In the end we'd crash after every mission to some stupid error message (can't create dump file). A couple of times it would crash IN THE MIDDLE of a mission. And since you cant save DURING missions, we had to replay them. WE DIDNT HAVE THOSE PROBLEMS WITH THE ORIGINAL GAME.
Another point of critic is that there's not much reason to be good, other than the ending. There's only a handful of items you can use, and all of them were below average or useless (couple of scrolls, never a weapon or armor). On the other hand, tons of corrupted/-ing items dropped. Items we couldnt even destroy from the inventory without causing corruption to everyone. And then some others which just wouldn't be destroyed at all, like regular items for the new squad member. They just ended up filling the inventory for no apparent reason at all.
We ended up NOT taking the new squad member for almost all missions, and just stuck with Thaddeus, Tarkus and Avitus (two ranged, two melee).
If you played through part I you should probably get this one. If you plan to co-op its still fun, but brace yourself for crashes.
